Microphone with Hissing Feedback?
Well, I have a Peavey PV-i100 microphone, because I do a little bit of music on my computer, using FL Studio 7, and a microphone. But when I record something, it has somewhat of a hiss to it.
I can hear it when I turn the microphone on, without saying anything into it. It doesn’t bother me too much, because the beat and voice cover it up for the most part. But it takes the clarity out of the vocals.
Can someone tell me why it may be giving me such feedback, and some sort of program that removes noise/hissing and makes a voice more “crisp”. I have CoolEdit Pro 2, but it doesn’t work as well as I’d like.

It doesn’t really sound like that’s feedback as much as it is line noise. Feedback will occur when your speakers are sending sound back into the mic that is producing sound. The hiss is probably the quality of the cord on the mic – or the jack connection is not clean. If you plug directly into the mini-jack on your pc, then you probably won’t be able to avoid this. It just hiss. To get around it, you gotta spend some bucks on a mic preamp and a firewire/usb interface so you don’t go directly into the soundcard.
